ELIGIBILITY
Player Requirements: Players must officially measure below 6'2" (barefoot) in height at tryouts and must be at least 21 years of age by June 1, 2027 when trying out for the inaugural UBF season.

Team Application: Prospects may apply to only 1 team each. Option 1: Choose one of the two closest proximity teams to your current home address. Option 2: Choose one of the two closest proximity teams to your high school alma mater's address.

League-wide Rosters: In addition to all players measuring below 6'2" barefoot, every franchise in the league must maintain at least half of all roster spots for players under 6'0" barefoot.
PLAYER APPLICATION PROCESS
Online Application: Prospects will fill out an application for their desired team once the application window for the league opens.

Application Components: The application will consist of four parts: 1) Questionnaire, 2) 30-second introductory video upload, 3) 1-minute highlight video upload, 4) Links to social media and any additional relevant basketball content (college stats, more highlights, etc.)​
​
Tryout Invites: Each team will have 50 total invites to tryouts.
TRYOUT STRUCTURE
Three Tryouts per Team: Players will be invited to one of the three team tryouts based on the coaches' and scouts' initial rankings.​
​
Cuts and Roster Formation: There will be cuts after each tryout round. After the 2nd round of tryouts, 20 prospects will remain. From the final 20 prospects, ten will be selected for the active roster, two will make the practice squad, and an additional four will be named as the team's priority free agents in the case of an injury.
